Hanne Fjelde appointed to the Wallenberg Academy Fellows program


Hanne Fjelde The Department congratulates Associate Professor Hanne Fjelde for being appointed to the Wallenberg Academy Fellows career program. The program was established by the Knut and Alice Wallenberg’s Foundation in 2012 and provides long-term funding for promising young researchers from all academic fields.

- We congratulate Hanne on this prestigious distinction, says Head of Department Magnus Öberg. The Department is now home to two Wallenberg Academy Fellows.

As an Academy Fellow, Hanne Fjelde will investigate the effects of political violence during election periods, including how violence in connection to an election effects the democratization process in a country and how such violence can be prevented.
