Several new grants to DPCR researchers from the Swedish Research Council

Researchers at the department have been highly successful in securing competitive external project grants from the Swedish Research Council. A total sum of just over 20.5 million SEK was awarded to four new research projects beginning in 2021.
- “Alliances of Anarchy: Actor Constellations and Patterns of Electoral Violence”, PI Kristine Höglund. Espen Geelmuyden Rød and Sebastian van Baalen are also part of this project.
- “Drivers of Displacement: Accounting for the Variation in Forced Migration from Conflict”, PI Margareta Sollenberg
- “Unwilling or unwanted? Explaining the decline of mediation in armed conflicts”, PI Isak Svensson. Desirée Nilsson and Magnus Lundgren (University of Gothenburg) are also part of this project.
- “Petroleum, prices and protests: The impact of climate change mitigation on social unrest”, PI Nina von Uexküll. Espen Geelmuyden Rød and Isak Svensson are also part of this project.
